up and coming sound engineers
to try and provide clients
with a reduced rate
Set Up and Tear Down $45/hour
The engineer can give you a basic idea of how much set up and tear down time you will need for your session depending on what you are coming in to record.
As little as 15 minutes (on both ends) for
a solo singer may be needed, or up to
3-4 hours to set up, and 2 hours to
tear down, for a full 8 piece band.
Mixing and Mastering $50/hour
This only applies to sessions that were tracked at Alchemy Sound Studios. Any mixing or mastering of sessions recorded in other facilities are $60 per hour
One Artist, One Mic $55/hour
If it’s just you coming and all you need is one microphone, one headphone mix, and only recording on one track. Examples of this would be bringing in a prerecorded track and
singing along with it.
One Artist, Multiple Mics $60/hour
If it’s just you coming out, but you need multiple (2-4) microphones and channels. Examples of this would be singing while playing
guitar or piano
Multiple Artists, Multiple Mics $65/hour
This group can be anywhere from 2-4 performers and can include mic’ing a
live drum kit. Examples are basic
three- to four-piece bands using
16 channels or less.
This rate also applies for a single artist that needs more than 4 microphones for recording their session. The most common example
of this is tracking a live drum kit.
(2 hour minimum)
The Full Session $70/hour
This group can be anywhere from 5 to 8 performers and usually includes a
live drum kit. These sessions can utilize all the way up to 24 channels of
recorded audio and 6 separate headphone mixes
(3 hour minimum)
